	Ex-Nun Charged in Va. with Child Molestation A Former Student of the Woman Told Police That He Was Assaulted in the 1970s in Virginia Beach By Stephanie L. Arnold Philadelphia Inquirer February 11, 2004 A former nun and teacher from Virginia Beach who now lives in Drexel Hill was charged yesterday in Upper Darby by Virginia authorities with child molestation. Eileen Rhoads, 64, of the 2500 block of Stoney Brook Lane, was indicted in Virginia Beach Feb. 2 and arrested yesterday in Upper Darby, Virginia Beach Police Detective Don Rimer said. Police said a man who is now in his 40s told Virginia Beach police last year that Rhoads molested him when he was 10. Rhoads was a nun who taught at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, according to Rimer. The man is one of her former students. Rimer said Rhoads left the church in the 1970s after the alleged incidents. Virginia authorities recently found her in Upper Darby. Rimer said his department interviewed Rhoads about six months ago. He would not say what Rhoads said in the interview. Rhoads could not be reached last night for comment. Rhoads was arraigned early yesterday and released after she posted $20,000 bond. She was charged with one count of child enticement and one count of indecent liberties, which are felonies, Rimer said. Rhoads faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if she is convicted of both crimes. Rimer said Rhoads must surrender to Virginia Beach authorities by Friday.
