	Man Jailed for Sex Abuse Washington Post May 24, 1986 A former basketball coach at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Northwest Washington who acknowledged sexually abusing several boys, some as many as 20 times, was sentenced yesterday to three to 12 years in prison by a judge who said the man's actions had produced "incaluable harm." "After reviewing everything, I've come down to the conclusion that this is not a case for probation," D.C. Superior Court Judge Robert Mencher told 47-year-old Timothy F. Slevin. Slevin, who had been an ordained priest until he formally left the priesthood in 1974, had pleaded guilty to four counts of sodomizing one youth and had told police he sexually abused six other boys more than 50 times in the last six years. In exchange for his guilty plea, the government agreed not to prosecute Slevin for allegedly abusing the other boys.
