Father Michael out of Icu By Robert Mayer The Patch July 7, 2011 http://berlin.patch.com/articles/father-michael-out-of-icu Father Michael Miller of St. Paul Church, who was taken by Life Star to St. Francis Hospital on the Fourth of July for treatment of an undisclosed medical emergency, has been released from the Intensive Care Unit and is now in a regular medical department at the hospital, according to St. Paul Church officials. Life Star was called to St. Paul at approximately 11 a.m. Monday and transported Father Michael to St. Francis. Fire, police and Hunter's Ambulance officials have declined to disclose the nature of Miller's illness or injuries. He was admitted to the ICU at St. Francis, but Father Robert, also of St. Paul, confirmed that night at an impromptu prayer service and in the days since that Miller's condition has improved enough that he is no longer in ICU. As for the nature of the illness or injuries, Father Robert said he is respecting Father Michael's privacy and until Father Michael tells him it is OK to let people know exactly what happened he would keep it that way. He asked that the parishioners of St. Paul continue to pray for Father Michael and that he gets well soon. Both Kensington Fire Chief Mark Lewandowski and Berlin Police Department Deputy Chief John Klett declined to give any comments on the nature of the emergency call or details about Father Michael's illness or injury. |
