A priest in Menasha has been put on administrative leave after an abuse allegation is brought to the Green Bay Diocese. Reverend Paul Radetski is accused of abusing a minor years ago in another part of the Diocese. Police are investigating the allegations, but no charges have been filed.

Speaking on behalf the Diocese, Deacon Ray Dubois said it's an emotional time at Menasha's three Catholic churches. "It's a sad situation for everybody, obviously nobody has first hand knowledge," says DuBois.

Dubois says the alleged victim brought the abuse allegations against Father Paul Radetski to the Green Bay Diocese on Wednesday, saying the alleged abuse had happened years earlier. Immediately, the Diocese responded and notified police. "Father Radetski has been temporarily relieved of his ministry duties, he's also been placed on administrative leave by the Diocese," adds DuBois.

The 62-year-old priest, who serves as a pastor at Saint John's, Saint Patrick's and Saint Mary's churches in Menasha, denies the allegations.

Sunday representatives from the Diocese staff passed out a statement notifying parishioners of the allegation and how the church is responding.

"The parishioners were informed at all the masses, were given a copy of the statement from the Diocese as well as Bishop Rinken," says Ann Fox, Assistance coordinator for the Diocese of Green Bay.

Parishioners say Father Radetski is a well like man. Many say they are devastated by the news. "Nothing's been proven yet, the allegations are what they are that doesn't mean he did anything, I don't know what he's accused of or anything," says Jim Rew, parishioner.
