A 'pastor' is being remanded in prison custody at Agbor, Delta State, for allegedly raping a teenager.

The 'pastor', one Emmanuel Chakarunoye, of Living Word Gospel Mission, Umunede, was incarcerated on the orders of an Agbor Chief Magistrates' Court for having unlawful sexual intercourse with the 17-year-old girl.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the girl (name withheld) was sent on an errand to the cleric, who was her former 'pastor', in the evening of February 17, at Emuhu near Agbor when the incident took place.

Nigerian Tribune learnt that the mother of the girl, who later got to know of the assault, lodged a report with the police and, subsequently, the suspect was arrested and charged to court by the police.

Further hearings on the case continue.
