The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is facing another new lawsuit after claims the archdiocese knew about sexual abuse but did nothing to stop it.

Five men have filed the lawsuit claiming that the archdiocese failed to stop an abusive priest from repeatedly molesting them when they were altar boys.

The incidents allegedly occurred in the 1950s and 1960s.

The lawsuit names the Reverend John Berning as the defendant.

Berning is accused of abusing children at two local churches, St. Margaret of Cartona and Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Church officials say they didn't know of reports of abuse from that time period.

However, the lawsuit claims the archdiocese had been made aware of the abuse by the victims' parents.
