	Judge Dismisses Lawsuit against Diocese Capital News 9 July 22, 2003 A lawsuit against the Albany Catholic Diocese has been dismissed. Attorney John Aretakis filed the suit, claiming the Diocese had intimidated a victim of clergy sexual abuse. But in an eight-page order, Acting Supreme Court Justice Christian Hummel wrote the allegations did not warrant legal action. He also stated that Aretakis failed to respond to the Diocese's motion to dismiss the suit. The priest accused of the crime was removed from ministry and an apology was issued to the family.
