Oklahoma City (AP) - A published report says a Stephens County family's lawsuit against the Oklahoma City Archdiocese and an Ohio-based Roman Catholic group is being settled.

The Daily Oklahoman reports the agreement will be finalized when paperwork on the settlement is completed. A jury trial scheduled to begin this week has been removed from the docket.

Casey Johnson and his parents sued the Reverend James Rapp in 1999 for allegedly molesting Casey three times when he was a minor. Also named in the lawsuit are the Oklahoma City Archdiocese, the late Archbishop Charles Salatka, current Archbishop Eusebius Beltran and the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in Toledo.

Rapp was the priest at Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan from 1991 until he was arrested in 1999.

Rapp pleaded guilty in October 1999 to two charges of molestation. He was given a 40-year prison term and prison officials say he's serving the term in an out-of-state facility.
