Priest: No Kids in My Gay Porn

The lawyer for accused child-molester priest Michael Hands admitted yesterday that his client subscribed to several gay pornographic Web sites while he was staying in a Long Island convent - but insisted that none of them involved children.

And even if they were illegal kiddie sites, lawyer Peter Rubin claimed Suffolk DA Thomas Spota can't charge Hands with a new crime - because investigators questioned the disgraced priest about it without his lawyer present.

Hands was about to get just six months - instead of possibly decades - behind bars when Spota's office asked a judge on Monday to jail the priest for violating his cooperation agreement by breaking the law by logging on to illegal Web sites.

Hands, who is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, "subscribed to these different sites, but none of them were kiddie-porn sites," said Rubin, who admitted his client had "violated the spirit, but not the letter," of his deal.
