	Requiescat in Pace: Edward T. Burke, S.J. JSP March 2, 2009 Father Edward T. Burke S.J., died peacefully Friday, February 27, at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California, after a long illness. He was 87 years old. Born in San Mateo, California, on July 12, 1921, Ed entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos, California, on August 20, 1942. He pronounced final vows on August 15, 1960, at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco, California. May he rest in peace. All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2009 Catalogus USA, pgs. 37-40) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Ed's soul.
